At Shailer Park State School we run a range of different dance programs that cater for a number of different students. These programs are designed to keep students, fit, healthy and most of all entertained. Some of our groups this year are;

• Starlettes (Yrs 1-3)
• Intermediate Shailerettes (Yrs 4-7)
• Performance Shailerettes (Yrs 4-7)
• Shailer Jets (Boys Group)

So far we have all been working hard on our technique and learning some new dances. We have worked well together and have already completed two new dances.

We were lucky enough to perform for some special guests at the opening of the middle school building at the high school and for some of us this was our first performance in front of such a big audience. We did a great job and had some wonderful feedback!

Some of our other performances coming up include;

• Art Show
• Under 8's Day
• Parades
• Church groups

And our biggest challenge for the year will be the Beenleigh Eisteddfod in September!

At present we a working on a musical theatre piece "consider yourself" and we are having lots of fun introducing the boys to a new dance "GLAMOROUS."
