School grounds

At Shailer Park State School you will find school grounds that are heavily planted with native trees and shrubs.

Classrooms have shared courtyards/eating areas where children sit for lunch breaks and engage in outdoor learning. In addition to this there are a number of covered areas that provide for students who work within modular buildings. The play areas exist of modern and exciting adventure playground equipment as well as two neat large ovals. Behind our large ovals you will find a beautiful nature strip with gumtrees and available spaces for cross country events. There are basketball and sport courts to use during lunch times and Physical Education programs.

Many of our classrooms at Shailer Park State School are double teaching spaces with open areas and digitally rich learning environments. Some of our double teaching spaces are air-conditioned and we are upgrading to have all classrooms air-conditioned in the near future.

Our tuckshop facility is operated by the P&C and run by volunteers from our community.

Other facilities at our school include a modern resource centre which is fully equipped with a wireless computer lab. We provide learning spaces for specialist classes such as music, instrumental music, dance and drumming. Our Dance programs as well as community events and weekly assemblies are held in our modern multipurpose hall. The multipurpose hall is also available for hire. For more information please contact our Business Services Manager (BSM) at the administration office.

Shailer Park State School also provides a after-hours school care facility which is run by the PCYC organisation.
